Our vision... imagine the possibilities! From this to that with a few improvements like new lighting, signs, a bike rack, fresh paint, and flowers.
The South Schuylkill Unified volunteers (your friends and neighbors) created a Commercial Facade Improvement Grant Program, and we are excited to get started! Our first fundraiser exceeded our goal by 107%, but we still need your help. More donations, means we can do more improvements for our smallest businesses like fresh paint, interesting storefront signs, lighting, benches, flowers, accessibility improvements and more. The grant is a 50-50 match, has an application, and a volunteer committee approval process. We are creating that process now and hope to start the first facade improvements in Schuylkill Haven by the end of this summer 2026. Want to be a part of real, visual change in our region?
